Lisa Purcell
Her art was an inspiration to me. I also love to paint flowers and it was tremendously validating to see someone of her artistic talents dedicate a career to painting them. Same ouvre, same medium. Always fresh. In short, her work resonated with me. It also impacted my life on a personal level. Bringing joy to me and to my mom the last bit of my mom's life. My mom was on the fifth floor of EMMC for about five months and Lyn's work was all along the walls. My mom loved it. I would wheel her along and she would say, that the work looked like mine. I would tell my mom that it was Lyn Snow's art. Lyn Snow's art was world class. It is funny a person you have never met can have an impact on your life. I had discovered Lyn Snow's artwork when I had first moved away from Maine, when I was homesick for Maine and it was a comfort. Then to find it at the hospital, in person, at the worst time of my life. It comforted me twice. It inspired me. My heart goes out to the whole family.
