I was only a young boy when we lived on Spruce Head in 1961. Helen and Edgar lived in a house that was built by my grandfather and later sold to the Posts. I remember traveling around the cove to watch Edgar bait bags for his boat. Helen used to invite my in the house for pie and milk. I vividly recall the bright and sunny living room overlooking the ocean and a huge English Ivy that she had trained to grow on her walls. I loved that boyhood. I am the man that I am today because my family and I shared their friendship. In fact, my father always referred to Edgar Post as his life-long best friend. My brother and I send our condolences to Edgar and family.
