My sister and I, and our horses Roses and Whinny of Warren, were often the last to enjoy Paul’s company on his way home from work. Because we represented the end of his work-day, he frequently stayed an extra moment or two just to chat. Sis and I (he called us The Sisters) sincerely looked forward to and treasured those unpressured farrier visits, and I can’t tell you how often we lingered at his tailgate, half-frozen or mosquito bitten, just to listen to his stories and see him smile. He was the best farrier we ever had, a wise and helpful horseman, a man of interesting life experiences, and a joyful human being. We also admired him for his values and his dedication to family. The last time we saw him, in fact (it was late in July), he spoke of his great camping trip with his sons and of his upcoming September vacation with his wife. Needless to say, those memories bring us tremendous pain now as we think of those family members…..
My sister and I continue to grieve Paul’s loss, but we are also thankful for the 11 years we knew him. We wish to send our tender, respectful sympathies to his family and to all those who share our experience of missing him.
With kind thoughts and prayers from neighbors and friends,
Angela Pejouhy and Thomas Huber, Melissa and Kevin Jameson
