WARREN – Helen L. DeMass, 68, passed away peacefully after a long illness, Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at the Sussman House in Rockport.

Born in Rockport, September 12, 1947, she was the daughter of Henry Andrews and Marion Auspland. She held several positions throughout her career, including as a department head at Greenbrier Nursing Home in Nashua, New Hampshire. She also went on to receive two associate’s degrees. Though she had several hobbies, she especially loved crafts and lighthouses.

Her husband, Richard DeMass, Sr. passed away July 23, 2016.

She is survived by a brother, Ralph; two sisters, Nancy and Mary both of New Hampshire; her daughter, Judith; a sister-in-law and her family; a brother-in-law and his wife; several step-children and grandchildren, as well as her beloved dog ‘Toby’ whom she loved dearly.

At Helen’s request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Pope Memorial Humane Society of Knox County, P. O. Box 1294, Rockland, ME 04841.
