I remember Mrs. Bilodeau as a kind-hearted woman who always had a hug or an ear to share. As my elementary school principal nearly 35 years ago - at the little old school house tucked away at the bottom of the hill - I think back of her caring ways. We had great assemblies outside the school where she'd lead us in the pledge, gave awards, told stories and sang songs. She took us on walks; and gave out erasable pens that wished you a happy birthday from your principal, Mrs. Bilodeau. I still have a pen or two. Although they don't work, the memories live on - as will she.
