The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Roxie Hill can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Roxie and Maynard

I had the privilege of getting to know Roxie while I was taking care of her brother, Maynard, who passed away this past July. Maynard and I would pick Roxie up at least once a week and we would go all over to find places to take a walk, i.e., Owls Head, Boardwalk, Camden Harbor, Waldoboro, Belfast walking bridge, and we would always end our walks with a Sundae from McDonalds....they always gave Roxie a headache! Wherever we ended up, Roxie always made friends with someone who was also walking...most of the time they knew her or she knew them! She never let a person go by without finding who they were and where they were from! Both Roxie and Maynard had such a sense of humor even in their "senior" ways! Roxie always talked about her childhood, living in the now "Cappy's" -- we went in one time to have a cup of hot chocolate and Maynard said we were sitting in their former living room! She spoke about climbing Mt. Battie and walking across the falls at the Camden Harbor -- most of her time was spent with her siblings - the four of them always did things together. Roxie was one of a kind and I will miss her greatly...my thoughts and prayers go out to her family.
