Leonard and Virginia Goeke
Dear Cynthia,
Please accept our heartfelt and sincere condolences over Ron's passing. You and Ron have been great friends to Virginia, me, and our children for more than 35 years.
Although there is great sadness with the passing of a special friend,it is also a time to remember and to reminisce.
As I look back over the many years that I have known Ronnie, there are a number of very special memories. One is of the man who stopped by our house with a hand-made kite to fly it with my son Darren. Another is the soft tap on the door in winter to find no one there, but a fresh mess of smelts was hanging on the door knob. We can never forget
Halloween "trick or drinking" on Grace St. I will never be able to smile again at Ronnie "golfballing" on Bill's lawn or see his truck parked down at the harbor while he was with his "pals". I am very glad to have joined to American Legion to see Ronnie and sometimes Cynthia on the corner seats that were their favorites.
Although we will not be returning to Rockland until June, you and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers on March 2, and we will be seeing you on our return.
Best Wishes and God Bless- Len & Virginia Goeke
