Cynthia May  Ripley
ROCKLAND - Cynthia M. Ripley, 51, died unexpectedly, Saturday, April 17, 2010, at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
Born in Camden, December 1, 1958, she was the daughter of Richard L., Sr. and Theresa M. Pease Ripley. Educated in local schools, she was a 1977 graduate of Camden - Rockport High School.
She was first employed with Port Clyde Foods and worked more than six years at National Sea Products, until the closing of that plant. The following two years she worked as a nurse's aide at Shore Village Nursing Home in Rockland. Since 1993 Cindy found fulfillment in her employment and the many friends she made, as Head Housekeeper at the Farnsworth Art Museum in Rockland.
Cindy loved all her family, but was thrilled and proud to be a grandmother to her two grandchildren, Dylan and Eva. She also enjoyed walking her dogs, flower gardening and playing computer games.
Pre-deceased by her step-father Earl C. Randall, Jr., in 2007, Cindy is survived by her loving companion of 24 years, Walter E. Chapman of Rockland; her mother, Theresa M. Randall of Camden; her father, Richard L. Ripley of West Rockport; one son, David W. Ripley of Rockland; one daughter, Sheena M. Lord and her husband Scott of St. George; two brothers, Earl C. Randall, III of Camden, Richard L. Ripley, Jr. and his wife Lori of Waldoboro; three sisters, Valerie Wood and her husband Michael of Florida, Elizabeth A. Roscoe and her husband David of Rockland, Dixie Pratt of West Rockport; two grandchildren, Dylan and Eva Lord of St. George; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives are invited to visit from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday. Pastor Mark Holden, will officiate. Interment will be at a later date in Lakeview Cemetery, Union.
