Pauline J. Richardson
LINCOLNVILLE - Pauline Jeannette Richardson, 79, died unexpectedly Sunday, May 31, 2009, at her home with her children at her side.
Born in Rockland, December 21, 1929, she was the daughter of John H. and Edna R. Lathrop Skinner. Pauline was raised by her mother and step-father Charles S. Steeves. Educated in local schools, she was a 1947 graduate of Rockland High School.
The mother of eight children, life circumstances found her single at a young age. She not only devoted herself to her children, but worked full time as well.
She was first employed with Perry's Laundry, later with A.E. McPhail & Son, and for several years until her retirement with Knox County Community Action Head Start Program. She also enjoyed volunteer work that helped anyone and taught Sunday school several years.
Totally dedicated to her children, Mrs. Richardson spent most of her time with her children. She developed a wonderful friendship with her Avon Lady of 45 years, Rosalie Fogg, and thru that relationship, Pauline loved searching Avon catalogues for the latest products.
