PORT CLYDE - Jason Morris, 36, who was dearly loved by his family and friends, died on January 8th, 2009. Jason was born on March 25th, 1972.
Jason grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio and accomplished many great achievements. He graduated High school from Live Oaks in Madeira, Ohio in 1990 with a specialty in Industrial Electronics, and he was class president of the Vocational Industrial Club of America in his senior year. He was a key assembler in building technology for communication aircraft for Xetron in Springfield, Ohio. Additionally, he earned an Associates Degree with highest honors from ITT in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2002 in Computer Networking. However, despite his gift and skill in technology, he felt he had found his true calling when he landed in Port Clyde, Maine, and was blessed with the most beloved and final job of his life as a ground-fisherman. He had come to Maine to reunite with his family, and he happily discovered that he could truly put his mind, heart, and soul into fishing with the family fleet.
Jason exuded brilliance, wit, and uncanny bluntness. He had the ability to sum up any situation with the accuracy of a surgeon and sarcastic genius. Amongst his playful banter, there was a heart of gold. Anyone who had the honor of truly knowing Jason, was lucky to have his loyalty and his love. He put his all into everything that he believed in: hard work, family, friends, and enjoying life's pleasures. Although he had no children of his own, he had a way of connecting with them so that they adored him.
Jason is survived by his Mother and Step-Father, Kim and Gary Libby of Port Clyde, Maine; his siblings, Kris Coulter and Kari Roslon of St. George, Maine, Dan Sullivan of Tenants Harbor, Maine, and Leslie Sullivan of Camden, Maine; his uncle and captain of the fishing vessel, Skipper, on which Jason proudly worked, Glen Libby of Port Clyde, Maine; his loving nieces and nephews, Cerra and Brennan Harris, Adrianna and Benjamin Coulter, and Quincy McLaughlin; his Father and Step-Mother, Jerry and Diana Wall of Indiana; his family of friends, Kelly May, Michael Crossley, Nick Graves, Kevin Malone, and Matt Steinscik (as well as many more); and his longtime companion, Sluggy D. Brewsky.
Upon Jason's request, he was cremated and no funeral services will be held. A celebration of his life will be held in the near future.
