Timothy Michael  Morse
THOMASTON - Timothy Michael Morse, 17, died Tuesday, December 28th, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Buttermilk Lane in South Thomaston.
Born in Rockport, August 22, 1987, he was the son of Timothy Alan and Holly Sprague Morse.
Educated in Thomaston schools, Tim was a member of the junior class at Georges Valley High School and was pleased to have made the Honor Role this past semester. He also attended Mid-Coast Vocational Technical School where he studied automotive mechanics.
Last year, Tim pulled and replace with a new one, the engine in his truck.
Until this month, he worked as a part time custodian at South School in Rockland.
He held a Maine Lobster License and particularly enjoyed lobstering with his father and grandfather.
Camping at Spencer Bay on Moosehead Lake with his family was a favorite pastime for Tim. He loved hunting and fishing and was holder of a lifetime State of Maine Hunting and Fishing License.
Tim's mechanical abilities were also exhibited in his passion of four wheeling and motorcycling.
His family said that he excelled at drawing in both pen and pencil.
Although Tim's 6 foot 8 inch height could be intimidating, he was know for his gentle heart and loving concern for his friends and family.
Tim had been active with the Youth Links Project in Rockland and attended Spruce Head Community Church.
Pre-deceased by his paternal grandfather Clarence W. Morse in 1986, maternal great-grandmother Connie Curtis and an uncle Victor Daniello, Tim is survived by his parents; two brothers, Matthew J. and Noah G. Morse all of Thomaston; his girlfriend, Nichole Carlson of Owls Head; his paternal grandmother, Marion Morse of Thomaston; his maternal grandparents, Ivan and Elane Sprague of Rockland; his maternal great-grandfather, Harvey Curtis, Sr. of Rockland; several aunts and uncles including Alan & Pam, Ronald & Joanne, Fred, David & Geri, Jeff, Dennis and Joyce, Sheila, Cathy, Cheryl, Arlene, Heidi & David, Donna & Charles, Harvey & April, as well as many cousins.
Visiting hours will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, January 2, 2005 at the Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland. A service in Celebration of Tim's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 3rd, at the Rockland Congregational Church, 180 Limerock Street, Rockland. The Reverend Irven Gammon and Reverend Mitch J. Ross will officiate. Interment will follow in The Village Cemetery, Sunrise Section, Dwight Street, Thomaston.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mid-Coast School of Technology, Automotive Department, One South Main Street, Rockland.
