Obituary for Raymond Emery "Ticket" Dennison Jr.

VINALHAVEN – Raymond E. ‘Ticket” Dennison, Jr. died at his home, Wednesday, March 22, 2017, after a period of declining health.

Born in Camden, August 17, 1945, he was the son of Raymond E., Sr. and Christine Prentiss Dennison. He grew upon the Keag River at South Thomaston. He attended local schools.

In 1974, he married Pamela J. Hutchinson. In 1978, they moved to Vinalhaven where they have since resided.

Always known as a hard worker, Tickett was employed at National Sea Products for 17 years and later worked on local fishing boats, at Vinalhaven Co-Op and Claw Island Seafood, retiring in 2001.

He loved Baseball and collecting ball cards. He enjoyed traveling with friends and family and often reminisced of the memorable trips he had taken with his longtime friend Randy Farnham.

Other than his parents, Tickett was pre-deceased by his brothers, Bruce and Frank Dennison. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Pamela Dennison of Vinalhaven; three children from a previous marriage, Ronnie Dennison and his wife Emma of Owls Head, Robert Dennison of Rockland, Linda Davis and her husband Johnny of Vinalhaven; two children with Pamela, Justin Hutchinson, Raymond A. Dennison and his girlfriend Crystal Kennedy all of Vinalhaven; his brothers and sisters, Lawrence Dennison and his wife Mona of Thomaston, Alvin Dennison and his wife Glenda of Owls Head, Arlene Dennison, Cynthia Dennison both of Rockport, Eleanor Merry and her husband Chuck of Rockland, David Dennison and his wife Mindy of Owls Head, Liz Dennison and her companion Darlene of Thomaston; seven grandchildren and two great-grandsons, as well as many nieces and nephews.
