I first met Darlene over 13 years ago when I worked in the Customer Service Returns area in Freeport, Maine. She was a pretty, sweet, smiling, happy lady with a "Twinkle in Her Eyes". She was always willing to help with any problems and would do it with a "Can Do" attitude. When I first heard that Darlene had cancer four years ago, I was shocked, and I prayed for her every day to be strong and not be in pain. We all agreed at her funeral on Friday afternoon that she was a very strong lady who fought hard to beat this horrible disease. She will be missed by her family, friends and co-workers at L.L.Bean.
