Virginia A.  Pease (Wilson)
CUSHING - Virginia ‘Ginny’ Althea Wilson Pease, 85, passed away with her family by her side, Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at Quarry Hill in Camden, after a period of declining health.
Born in Rockland, April 24, 1929, she was the daughter of Albert W. Sr., and Alzada ‘Sadie’ M. Larrabee Wilson. She was educated in local schools and attended Rockland High School.
In the 1950s, she worked at the Park and Strand Theaters, Sylvanias, Gwens Dress Shop and Bracketts Drug Store.
In 1950 she married Carlton H. Pease. The couple lived most of their married lives in Thomaston, until moving to Cushing in 1983. It was there that they built a new house together. Ginny worked at Carlton’s side on their lobster boat the ‘V.J.’, as his sternwoman until Carlton’s passing in 1986.
In 1988 Ginny married Kenneth Jacobson, Sr. After divorcing, they remained friends.
She enjoyed regular visits from her ‘Mini Man’, Sam Johnson.
Other than her husband and parents, Ginny was pre-deceased by her siblings, Pauline Monroe, Marion ‘Mary’ Polk and Albert Wilson, Jr. She is survived by daughter Joan P. Harlow and her wonderful son-in-law Rick of Cushing; her adored grandson Bryce, his beautiful wife Lindsay and their precious son Grady all of Thomaston; her loyal brother-in-law Donald Jacobson and his dog ‘Bubba’ of St. George, who visited with her many times weekly; step children Kenneth ‘Jake’ and Wendy Jacobson of Appleton, Steve and Rose Jacobson; step-grandchildren, Christine and David Miller and their children Nick and Lauren all of St. George, Julie and Brian Cyr and their children Katy and Nolan of Portland; her best friend Bernice ‘Bunny’ Burakowski of Cushing; as well as many other niece, nephews and friends.
Cremation is in the care of Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St., Rockland. No services will be held. Ginny’s ashes will be scattered in front of her Cushing home.
The family will be forever grateful for the loving care given to Ginny by her Quarry Hill family, while at the Skilled and Long Term Care.
