I grew up in Cromwell, Connecticut and attended the First Congregational Church of Cromwell where Gordon G. Avery was the pastor. Many times we had Mr. Duff as our speaker at various church retreats. The retreats were for adults and middle school and high school age students. I loved to hear him teach. He knew his Bible backward and forward. I loved that we could ask any question and he would say, "turn to such and such a text." He didn't just say things, he showed us in the Bible why he believed a particular thing. He added much to my spiritual learning and I really appreciate it. One time he came to our retreat with his son Tim and Tim did much of the teaching for the youth. I am in full time Christian service and I know God used the Duffs to help me know Him better. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for this man investing his life to tell others like me about You. Praise You, Lord Jesus!!
