ROCKPORT — Robert A. (BJ) Edwards Jr, 40 years old, passed away unexpectedly, December 19, 2022, with his mom by his side at her home in Rockport. Born in Rockport on May 1, 1982 to Robert and Debra Randall Edwards Sr., Robert was raised in Rockland, Maine and educated in Rockland Schools.

In his job careers he worked at Bumble Bee Construction and Performance Paving until his declining health. He enjoyed spending time with his children, family and his many friends and grandchild. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and anything outdoors until his declining health from kidney failure.

He was predeceased by his father, Robert Edwards Sr.; his grandparents Lewis and Flora Edwards; his grandfather Roland Flaherty Sr.; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is survived by his mom, Debra Hanson and her companion Corey Moholland of Rockport; his children Chloe and her companion Hayden Reed of Waldoboro, Victoria, Robert II, Vanessa and their mom Val Edwards of South Thomaston; and a granddaughter, Alanah; his grandmother Nancy Stonestreet of Florida; many aunts and uncles and cousins; and he has family in Maine and Florida.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

There will be a celebration of life January 28, 2023: 75 Ilvonen Lane, Performance Paving Shop, Owls Head, Pot Luck at 2 p.m.
