Obituary for Paul Wayne Sheppard

ROCKLAND – Paul W. Sheppard better known as “PeeWee” or “Porkchop” passed away after a period of declining health on Sunday, October 16 at his home in Rockland.

Born August 17, 1966, in Castine, he was the son of Charles Tyler and Cynthia Sheppard. He grew up in Warren and attended school at Medomak Valley High School.

He was known to be a jack of all trades, having worked for Bumble Bee Construction and Russell Fish doing paving. He did carpentry and worked at Brooks Trap Mill. His most favorite jobs were at the Cutting Farm in Warren until they closed in 1990, then he went on to work at Grant Christmas Trees.

Paul enjoyed ice fishing, coloring with his nieces and nephews, listening to the birds and feeding all of the squirrels in his neighborhood. He loved the outdoors and making his yard look beautiful. Those who saw his yard would say he had a “green thumb”.

Predeceased by his mother Cynthia Sheppard Peters; stepfather Sid Peters; grandparents Leroy and Shirly Sheppard; Brother Erle Sheppard, Niece Sheila Rivera; good friend Jason Willey.

Paul is survived by his sisters, Rosie Rivera and Sydney Peters Robinson; brother in law Terry Robinson; his son Evan Ulmer; nieces and nephews, Steven Ward, Amanda Peters, Victor Peters, Tyler Ward, Cassandra Grant, Cody Ward, Skylah Ward, Alexis Peters, Ashlyn Ward, Bailey Harjula, Adrianna Witham, Mahsyn Ward, Shophia Peters and many others who called him uncle; his close friends Jon, Calvin, Dottie, Rick, Melody, Rob and Bill; many other cousins in friends whom he cared for dearly.
