Obituary

NEW HAMPSHIRE - Paul Schneider, 87 passed away of complications from the COVID-19 virus on Saturday, April 11, 2020. He was born on December 18, 1932 in Detroit Michigan.

Paul graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering in 1955. He served as an Air Force officer in the Foreign Technology Division at Wright Patterson Air Force Base with a military occupational specialty of Aeronautical Engineer. He re-entered civilian life at Pratt & Whitey Aircraft in Hartford, Connecticut where he worked on jet propulsion for the rest of his career and where he met his wife Viola. Working for both Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and General Electric Aircraft Engine Groups, his work took the family to North Palm Beach Florida, Cincinnati, Ohio and Lynn, Massachusetts. From an early age he was interested in aviation and later joined a flying club where he flew a Cessna 172 on weekends. In 1995, the couple retired to Bedford, New Hampshire. After retirement, he became interested in investing and joined a local investment club.

His wife Viola passed away in November 2012. He is survived by his daughter Carole Schneider; his son Scott Schneider; a daughter-in-law Lois Schneider and two grandchildren, Douglas and Heather of Suffield Connecticut.

Mr. Schneider will be laid to rest privately, beside his beloved wife Viola, at Rockville Cemetery, Rockport.

Arrangements are in the care of Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland.
