Obituary for Kathleen B. Lindahl

OWLS HEAD – Kathleen B. ‘Kate’ Lindahl, 64, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ whom she loved as a best friend, Sunday, October 18, 2020, surrounded by her family.

Born in Skowhegan, April 24, 1956, she was the daughter of Russell L. and Mary Garland Jackson. Kate grew up in Madison and was a 1974 graduate of Madison Area Memorial High School.

She enjoyed school activities and any kind of adventure in general. She went on to become a nurse in her professional career.

Fun-makers in Kate’s life included getting to know people in new circumstances, as well as her love of the beauty of creation, flowers, animals, and life in general.

She met Hank in 1992 and they married in 1994, with a beautiful combination of Hannah and Tom. They brought such joy into her life, and then came those granddaughters, what fun!

Kate loved the Lord and all he had to offer her, which made and completed her life.

Cancer made its way into Kate’s life in January of 2020, and eventually consumed her physically, but not in spirit nor mind.

She said; “I will miss some things of this world like true friends, my church family, rides with my husband, belly laughs, the gran-girls, my flowers, dogs and last but nor least, my wonderful neighbors of Owls Head, Maine.”

Kate is survived by her husband, Hank Lindahl of Owls Head; two children, Hannah Foster and her husband Austin of Washington, Tom Lindahl and his wife Diane and their daughters April, Ava and Emma all of Owls Head; one brother, Patrick Jackson of Rockland; mother-in-law, Sylvia Smith of Rockport; sister-in-law, Roxanne Snow of South Thomaston; brother-in-law, Scott Lindahl, their children and grandchildren, as well as several cousins and many special and true friends.

A Celebration of Kate’s Life will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, October 22, 2020, at Harbor Light Church, 78 South Main Street, Rockland. Pastor Casey Jones will officiate. A graveside committal service will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, October 28, 2020, at Ocean View Cemetery, Spruce Head Road, South Thomaston.
