Obituary for Jeffrey Green
WASHINGTON Formerly of WATERVILLE – Jeffrey Lee Green, 73, passed away, Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport following a sudden illness.
Born October 4, 1947 in Baltimore MD., the only child to Ervin and Hilda Green, he was educated in local schools and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps after graduating from high school.
Following his honorable discharge from the Marine Corps., he returned to the Baltimore area where he worked as a dock worker and loaded trucks.
Jeffrey led a quiet and reserved life. He was a very caring person and was good to all that knew him. He eventually settled down in Waterville where he made a few friends, but kept mostly to himself and his closest friend Jeannie, who stated that he loved Waterville and enjoyed writing poetry.
A graveside committal with Military Honors will take place at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at the Maine Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Ave., in Augusta.
