Obituary for Isabelle Marie "Izzy" Joy
ROCKLAND – Isabelle Marie ‘Izzy’ Joy, 7 months old, left this world peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family, Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital in Portland.
Born in Portland, July 14, 2022, she was the special angel of Cheyanna Derby and Donald Joy. Izzy was a very happy baby, with a smile that could light up a room. Her parents said she loved to play in her walker, be outdoors, and listen to music, especially country music.
Izzy’s bright smile will be sadly missed by her parents; her siblings, Nathaniel Waltz of Waldoboro, Demetri Joy, Kyra Joy both of Rockland, Abbigail Griffin of Waldoboro; her paternal grandparents, Joyce Simmons and Donald Carlson; her maternal grandmother Joanne Coles; as well as several aunts and uncles.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of her life from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland.
