Obituary for Dolores Vernice Boody

ROCKLAND – Dolores V. Boody, 83, died Sunday, April 24, 2022, at the Sussman House in Rockport.
Born in Rockland, July 26, 1938, she was the twin of Dalton Malmstrom and the daughter of Arthur E. and Virginia V. Raymond Malmstrom.

Educated in Rockland schools, she was a graduate of Rockland High School.
While raising her children, Dolores worked at many of the local fish processing plants. She later earned certification as a Certified Nurses Assistant and worked as a CNA several years at Quarry Hill in Camden.

In earlier years she loved to color and even won a Crayola Crayon Contest while in elementary school. Dolores loved roller skating and was Majorette in a marching band. She also enjoyed playing Yahtzee, animals, watching crime, horror movies and game shows.

Other than her parents, Dolores was pre-deceased by a son Randall Boody; daughter Tracey Dodd; four siblings including her twin Dalton, Victor, Glenda and Anita. She is survived by five children, Rhonda Pellegrino of Toms River, NJ., Kimberly Davis, Tamra McNeil, Diane Arsenault, and Richard Boody all of Rockland; 18 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

A visiting hour will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, Friday, April 29, 2022, at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM, Friday, at Achorn Cemetery, Old County Road, Rockland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pope Memorial Humane Society of Knox County, P.O. Box 1294, Rockland, ME 04841.
