Obituary for Susan 'Suz' Willey
ROCKPORT - Susan Willey (Suz) sadly passed away on January 3, 2023 of unknown causes after a period of declining health.
She was born in Boston October 26th, 1963 but lived most of her life here in the Mid coast until she fell in love with Marco Island, Fl. and traveled between the two places.
Predeceased by her parents Edith and Robert White, her brother Bob and her sisters Mary and Judith White. She is survived by her sister Sharon White, her children Star, Rheannon, and Christian Willey, as well as many dear nieces and nephews.
Suz was well known in the community as a hard worker who worked at many bars and restaurants including Gilbert's, Cappy’s and Myrtle St. Tavern, to name a few. She also owned a business as a house keeper. Despite facing many challenges in life she tenaciously worked to provide for herself and her children. Susan’s mega-watt smile would light up a room! She was known to many as a fun shining spirit who loved music, dancing, fishing, and the outdoors. She would lend a helping hand to anyone whenever she could, and she tried her best.
A private service is planned for her immediate family. A gathering for Suz’s vast community will be held in the summer when the sun is high in the sky and warms the sand on the beaches where she raised her children.
