Obituary for Daphana Morse

THOMASTON – Daphana C. Morse, 79, died peacefully, surrounded by her family, Friday, February 11, 2022 at Sussman House in Rockport.

Born in Rockland, September 10, 1942, Daphana was the daughter of Lynus and Ruth Phelps Morse. She was raised locally and attended Rockland Schools.

In recent years, Daphana has enjoyed doing word search puzzles, going for rides and especially going out to dinner with her companion Frank. She also adored her dog ‘Shadow’.

Predeceased by her parents, and two brothers, Jack Pauley and Lynus E. Morse; Daphana is survived by her children, Paul Douglas of Rockland, Barbara Graves and her husband Jason of Massachusetts, Teresa Hillgrove and her husband David of Rockland; three grandchildren, Avery Scott Douglas, Brody Robert Douglas, Christopher Graves; her sister, Julie French and her husband John of Camden; a half-brother Lynus L. Morse, Jr. of New York, and a sister-in-law June Pauley of Waldoboro; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Daphana’s wishes, her family will remember her life privately.
