Cynthia Raphael Staples was born, March 13, 1953 in Framingham, MA. she was the daughter of Ralph and Virginia Raphael. Cindy grew up in Wellesley, MA. She attended the Wellesley schools and graduated in 1971. She went on to Green Mountain College then the University of Maine at Farmington studying education.

In 1980, Cindy married Larry Staples and this special bond and love has lasted for over 42 years.

Cindy’s passion was helping people. She was a special education teacher for the Augusta School system for 32 years, retiring in 2008. After retirement, she started her own business in Augusta called Hodgepodge. She sold many handcrafted items in her store along with homegoods and collectables.

Cindy enjoyed going to the family cottage on lake Winnipesaukee in Meredith, New Hampshire for over 35 years.

Cindy was predeceased by her father Ralph Raphael. She is survived by her mother Virginia Raphael; her loving husband, Larry Staples; her brothers, David and family of Framingham, MA., James and family of Dublin, OH.; brother-in-law Ralph Staples and family of Escondido, CA.

A private graveside service will be held a Seaview Cemetery in Rockport, Maine in the spring.
