Obituary for Chucky Mansfield

ROCKPORT – Charles E. Mansfield, Jr., 59, passed away peacefully at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport.

He was born in Rockland on September 6, 1963. He was the second youngest of six children born to Vivian and Charles Mansfield. Chuck went to Georges Valley High School until the 9th grade, he ultimately decided to become a truck driver, which is what he did for his whole adult career.

He worked for Ferraiolo Construction for many years with his friend Monty, St George Marine, Beth’s farm, and The Town of Warren. He spent 30 years as a volunteer fire fighter and ambulance driver. Chuck was a very kind guy that would help anyone. Chuck was always out and about. He would go for coffee and would be gone for hours and when he returned my coffee would always be cold. Chuck was blessed with one wonderful grandchild, Gage Noel. He loved spending time with Gage and could never say no to him. Chuck had a love for his dogs. He enjoyed going up North to go bear hunting with his family.

Chuck is predeceased by his parents Vivian and Charles Mansfield Sr. Chuck is survived by his partner of 30 years to Tammie Michaud; his step-son, Stephen Michaud; step-daughter, Shelby Michaud and her partner Frank Dennison; one grandson, Gage Noel; brother, Scott and wife Darla of Warren; Four sister, Charlene Mansfield of Rockland, Joy Struck of Warren, Patty and Buzz Bussell of Warren, and Peggie and Randy of Cushing.

A service will be held at a later date in the spring.
