Obituary for Anne Fellows

ROCKLAND - Anne Fellows, 93, of Rockland, Maine died January 30, 2022 after a period of declining health.

Anne was born March 23, 1928 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire to Edward and Rosaline McCooey Morgan. The fifth of ten children, family was always important to her. She and Paul Kendall Fellows married on August 13, 1949 in Portsmouth and together created a home in Kittery, and later in Bangor, where they raised their three sons and daughter. Anne had a 30-year career in banking, first in Kittery and then in Bangor after moving there in 1977.

She is survived by her sister Patricia Morgan Peteraf; her brother Anthony Morgan, both of the greater Philadelphia area; her children, Kenneth and his wife Laura of Westfield, MA, Kevin and his wife Shary, of Rockland, Diane Smith and her husband Nathaniel, of Blue Hill, David and his partner Jennifer Sanborn of Hinsdale, New Hampshire. Anne also had five grandchildren who she loved to have visit, Michael Deane of Westbrook, Steven Fellows and his wife Stephanie of Dover, NH, Mathew Fellows of Westfield, MA, Bennett Fellows and his wife Ryan, of Salem, MA, and Kelly Fellows of Springfield, MA. Her three great-grandsons always brought a smile to her face, Kason of Westfield, and Roland and Tristan of Dover.

An avid Scrabble player and worthy opponent to anyone who accepted the challenge, she will be remembered by Art, her Scrabble partner who traveled near and far for a few hours of games with her. Her many caregivers will also fondly remember Anne as an unassuming soul, always considerate of those around her.

In keeping with her love of reading, donations to your local library for the purchase of large print books or for the community outreach program delivering books to those who are unable to go to the library, would be a most thoughtful gesture.

The family will have a private gathering in the spring.

Arrangements are in the care of Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland.
