Obituary for Andrew W. Seidner

CHARLOTTE, NC - Andrew W. Seidner, 51, passed away unexpectedly, at his home here, November 30, 2022.

Born in Rockland, May 26, 1971, he was the son of Gabriel Tony and Carol Newhall Seidner Strollo. Educated in local schools, he was a 1989 graduate of Rockland High School.

After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. During his four-year enlistment, Andy was stationed in Hawaii, Los Angeles and North Carolina.

Following his discharge, he attended Eastern Maine Technical College, where he earned a degree in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning. Later he earned an EPA Lifelong Freon License.

He traveled to Charlotte, NC to visit his brother Tony and never came back. He worked for apartment complexes as a HVAC Technician.

An excellent baseball player, Andy played Little League, Babe Ruth. He was a starter for the 1989 Rockland High State Champion Baseball Team and played Football as well.

Andy’s brother Tony, said he would always cherish their childhood, learning life lessons together and always joking around. “Our time living together as young men in our late 20’s was among the best in my life”, he said.

His sister Renee, recalled how close they had become as adults. “He would call me sis and we would text. We were the same age one day a year I call it Gemini Twins. He loved his dogs. I will miss him so much,” she said.

His parents said, “It was so good seeing the kids get along and like each other as they grew up. Andy will be missed so much by his family and friends.”

Andy is survived by his mother Carol Strollo and her husband Ed Strollo; his father Gabriel Tony Seidner; his brother Tony Seidner and his wife Michelle Seidner; his sister Renee Atwater and her significant other Steve Joy; his Aunts Karen Sprowl, Vicki Demmons and her husband Vern; nephews Forrest Atwater, IV, Cooper Seidner and Mason Burris, as well as many cousins and second cousins.

Friends and family are invited to visit from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Burpee, Carpenter and Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St., Rockland, where a service with Military Honors, will be held at 1:00 pm, Sunday, January 8th. Interment will be in Achorn Cemetery, Rockland.
