Obituary for Alan J. Demuth

ABOTT, MAINE - Alan J. Demuth, 63, died Nov. 5, 2020 after an extended illness. He Born in Rockland, May 28, 1957, he was the youngest of Harland R. and Marita A. Huff Demuth.

He grew up in Union for the Most of his younger years were spent in Union until moving with his family to South Thomaston. Alan attended Rockland High School.

Alan made friends everywhere he went always smiling and joking. He was well known for his wheeling and dealing of many older cars and trucks and being a collector of everything.

Every July he looked forward to the family reunion and being together with all his cousins, particularly getting his favorite coconut cream pie.

Alan worked for many years in Michigan where he made many friends. He moved back to Maine and settled in his grandfather's house in Abott.

Other than his parents, Alan was predeceased by a brother, Douglas H. Demuth of Roscommon, MI. He is survived by his brother Gregory Demuth of South Thomaston; two sisters, Debra Beattie and her husband Robert of Thomaston, Marilyn Widdecombe of Warren; a very special nephew Christopher Widdecombe of Warren and a very special niece Brianna Widdecombe of Waldo; two sons Chad Featherston and wife Connie of Georgia, Eric Featherston and his wife Rachel of Tennessee; one daughter Jennifer Rivera and her husband Adam of Georgia; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and many cousins from Maine.
