My friend, fellow Georgetown Chime, and my CEO at MBNA America Bank, Charlie Cawley (right) died today. He was brilliant. He inspired (and demanded) excellence. He was generous. He will be so missed. That's me with artist Jamie Wyeth and Sen. Ted Kennedy and Charlie on one of our adventures. The 2002 Opening of Wyeth's "Capturing Nureyev" show at The Kennedy Center. Charles and Julie Cawley at our wedding in 2002. As they were leaving they stopped to say goodbye. Charlie told us that he couldn't remember the last time he had stayed out that late or had that much fun. We were so happy to have had the opportunity to share our day with the Cawley's. Charlie was a incredible man who went out of his way to do good things for so many people. We feel blessed to have had the opportunity to know him. Rest In Peace.. You will be missed..
