I remember his many kindnesses to people, towns an organizations. I will always remember his fondness for my meringue desert that he stood in a corner eating and pointing for me to add more chocolate sauce. I later discovered that he shouldn't eat them but took it as a great compliment.

My favorite story that he told me was to show me the car that he first took Julie on a date in and tell me how they met. His eyes lit up with love.
