Caring Cremation - provides availability of trained, licensed staff, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, for transfer of
deceased from any Knox, Lincoln or Waldo county location, to our 110 Limerock Street, Rockland, location.
Caring Cremation - provides secure, private care and custody of the deceased at our 110 Limerock Street location for the required 48-hour waiting period prior
to cremation.
Caring Cremation - includes consultation with a licensed funeral director for gathering of vital statistic and personal history information.
(Appointment required).
Caring Cremation - includes, bathing and dressing of deceased when authorized by family or authorized person.
Caring Cremation - provides opportunity for private, one time, identification viewing of not more than 15 minutes, with no more than four individuals viewing.
Selected cremation container will be utilized for identification viewing.
Caring Cremation - includes completion of all required legal documents including; Death Certificate, Authorization for Cremation, Maine State Permit for
Disposition and Medical Examiner s Release for Cremation by our in house staff.
Caring Cremation - includes composition of the obituary and placement in local papers as well as on our website.
(NOTE: Many newspapers, including the Bangor Daily News and Portland Press Herald, charge for placement of the obituary.
Our staff is able to assist with placement of any family-paid obituaries.)
Caring Cremation - includes notification of death to the Social Security Administration.
(NOTE: Death benefit payment of $255.00 is provided only to the survivor of a married couple or to dependant children of the deceased.)
Caring Cremation - includes notification of the Veterans Administration. (NOTE: All veterans who have served one enlistment are entitled to
a Government issued military marker and burial flag. Not all veterans are eligible for monetary benefits.)

Caring Cremation - includes transfer of the deceased by our trained, licensed attendants, from local place of death to our funeral home at 110 Limerock Street; as well as transportation of the deceased following required 48 hour waiting period to Pine Grove Crematorium, 1347 Hammond St. Bangor, Maine. (NOTE: Return of cremated remains is made to 110 Limerock Street, by Certified United States Postal Service. If desired, family or authorized person, may receive cremated remains at Pine Grove Crematorium.)
MERCHANDISE: $125
Caring Cremation - includes a quality Basic Corrugated Cremation Container with a pine, plywood base; providing for dignified moving and transportation of the deceased. (A full selection of cremation containers is available.)
Caring Cremation - includes at a minimal cost (beginning at $95), choice of a solid pine or sheet bronze urn. (A full selection of urns is available.) (NOTE: If no urn is selected, cremated remains are returned in the temporary container.)
CASH DISBURSEMENTS: $360
Caring Cremation - includes payment for all required legal documents, i.e. First Certified Copy of the Death Certificate and Permit for Disposition ($20); Maine State Medical Examiner's Release ($15); Crematory Cost ($325).
TERMS:
Payment in full is due at time of arrangements with cash, personal check, VISA or Mastercard.
NOTE:
Above charges DO NOT INCLUDE: fee for additional certified copies of death certificate, paid newspaper death notices, clergy, organist, musician, funeral home staff assistance at service, grave opening / closing fee, use of facility, cemetery charges, or monument lettering / engraving. A casket is not required for cremation.
