Condolences

Condolence From: The John Hughes Family • Rockland, ME
Condolence: For the past eleven years, our family has led one of the monthly Sunday-afternoon services at the Knox Center. Dotty always made it a priority to attend the service, and was always concerned that she be dressed in her "Sunday best", with her "face" on, before wheeling out to the service. Her sincere love and devotion to her Lord Jesus Christ was always evident, and His joy in her heart always shone on her beautiful, radiant face.

In recent months, when her declining health prevented her from attending the service as regularly as she once had, one of us would often stop by her room for a brief visit with her, if she was awake. While we went in with the intent of encouraging Dotty, we were always the ones who ended up being encouraged by her! We know that she was clinging tightly to her Savior, and that He was waiting to carry her to His side when He took her home. Our memories of Dotty are many and sweet, and we look forward to seeing her again, as we worship together around the Throne of God. We pray that the abiding comfort of Jesus Christ will be yours, as you mourn her passing. Thank you for allowing her to share her life and loveliness with our family!
