CAMDEN - Wilda E. Ross, 99, died following a period of declining health, Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Quarry Hill in Camden.
Born May 17, 1910 in Bridgewater, she was the daughter of Ray and Helen Burns Parks. She was educated locally.
She married Fred Ross, and the couple made their home in Houlton for many years. Following the death of her husband in 1956, Mrs. Ross moved to Connecticut.
Working in the Hartford area for many years, she retired from the Aetna Insurance Company. Mrs. Ross remained in Connecticut until 2006 when she returned to Maine to live with her sister, Elizabeth Putansu, in Spruce Head. In September of 2008 she moved to Quarry Hill, where she has since resided.
Mrs. Ross took great pleasure in admiring flowers and could name any that she saw.
Mrs. Ross is survived by her sister, Elizabeth Putansu of Spruce Head, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at a later date.
