ROCKLAND – Dorothy S. ‘Dotty’ Pendleton, 66, beloved mother, sister, and friend, went to be with her Lord, Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Quarry Hill in Camden.

A lifelong resident of the Midcoast, Dotty was born on August 9, 1945 in Rockland.

She has worked most of her life as a legal secretary, and loved attending church and singing before her failing health kept her from doing so.

She loved her family greatly and cherished her friends, both of whom will miss her more than she knew.

Dotty goes to join her much loved parents, Raymond and Lorna Post Pendleton, and a sister Jane, in fellowship once more. She leaves behind her beloved son, Shawn Pendleton of Rockland; her brothers, Reverend Dr. Raymond Pendleton and his wife Janice of Peabody, Massachusetts, Benjamin Pendleton and his wife Joanne of Tewksbury, Massachusetts, Daniel Pendleton of California; her sister, Nancy Damon and her husband Joseph of Sanford; nieces and nephews, Melissa Royce, Timothy Damon, Melanie Green, Maryann Brewer, Jeffrey Colburn, Martha Munroe, Neil Colburn, Jr., Ruth Colburn, Janet Rae Rosseau, Sharon Ponzani; as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Dotty was laid to rest privately at the Village Cemetery in Thomaston.
