Obituary for Dwayne R. Pease

Dwayne R.  Pease
ROCKLAND – Dwayne R. Pease, 52, died Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Maine Medical Center in Portland, after a period of declining health.

Born in Camden, June 30, 1959, he was the son of Ralph A. and Patricia A. Stanley Pease. Dwayne lived
in Appleton from the age of 12 and after a tragic accident, he spent the next two years at Shiners’ Burn Center in Boston. Returning to this area he lived in Thomaston, where he attended local schools and was a 1978 graduate of Georges Valley High School. He later moved to Rockport, where he resided 3 years. In 1984 he moved to Lincolnville, where he resided until 1998.

While living in Lincolnville, Dwayne worked one summer at the Lobster Pound at Lincolnville Beach. He was a longtime member of King David’s Lodge of Masons, No. 62 in Lincolnville.

September 15, 2009, he married Nancy Kimball. They made their home in Rockland since that time.
Dwayne was a hot rod / street rod enthusiast.

Pre-deceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents, Dwayne is survived by his wife Nancy of Rockland; his son, Matthew D. Pease of Belfast; his mother and step-father, Patricia A. and Sheldon Harper of Thomaston; his father Ralph A. Pease of Appleton; as well as several aunts, uncles and extended family members.

A Celebration of Dwayne’s life, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 30, 2012, at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland. The Reverend Paul Munro will officiate. A reception will follow at the funeral home’s ’104 Limerock’ reception center.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Burn Institute, 51 Blossom Street, Boston, MA 02114, or the Owls Head Baptist Church, P.O. Box 81, Owls Head, ME 04854.
