Dear Evangeline, Melody, and family, I was so saddened to only just now learn that Beau had passed away. I was honored to be his first graduate teaching assistant at UIowa and, to this very day, I recall the many lessons that I learned from him. He was a very dear and learned man, who took great pleasure from sharing is love and knowledge of opera with his students. To this day, his words and his enthusiasm inspire me as I work with my own college students. His legacy lives on in all his former students. Even more than opera, I know how much he loved his family and I am sure that his passing has left a great void in your lives. My thoughts and most heartfelt condolences are with you.
